WHAT IS STAR™ PERSONALITY?


In recent years, measurement of work-related personality characteristics has become an increasingly important function of human resources and other organization units tasked with the responsibility for employee selection. The domain of personnel assessment has expanded from an emphasis on job-related knowledge, skill, and abilities (KSA’s) to include KSAO’s where “O” refers to other personal characteristics, especially personality traits. STAR™ Personality is a repository of work related personality assessments aimed at measuring employee traits objectively and relate them to significant aspects of employee behavior and performance.

HOW DOES STAR™ PERSONALITY WORK?


STAR™ Personality is a practical and validated repository of assessments that measure personality, managerial and sales dimensions in employees and correlate them to typical day-to-day performance - how well they get along with others, how much effort they put into their work, how responsible they are, etc. A mix of managerial, sales and cognitive dimensions together with general personality traits makes STAR™ Personality an effective work-related personality assessment tool.

STAR™ Personality measures many different work-related facets of personality; it also assesses what is termed as “Big Five” personality traits. Yet STAR™ Personality differs from many of the widely used personality instruments. Our approach is consistent with research that demon­strates the work-related validity of personality measures.
