India today boasts of a larger pool of employable youth population between the age of 18-25 than any other nation.

On the contrary the question to ask is: How much of this population is employable? ie: Do they have the necessary skills and qualifications?

Indian businesses are constantly challenged by this question and have time and again voiced the need to better educate, mold, develop and most importantly measure this population to absorb them into fruitful employment. Corporations and HR managers today recognize the need for advancement in HR knowledge and the need for significant innovation in HR practices to better address such challenges.

There is a need for rigorous, sustained research that acknowledges the similarity and divergence of the situation in India from other regions. Global Talent Metrics is committed to foster high quality, actionable, quantitative, cross disciplinary research on the strategic role of human resource management in India.
